Per Diem Social Worker
Kidtastic Kids Preschool | Farmingville, NY
Kidtastic Kids Preschool is seeking a qualified and compassionate Per Diem Social Worker to provide social work services to preschool students who have Social Work identified as a related service on their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
The Social Worker will provide services in accordance with each student's IEP and collaborate with the child's educational team to support the student's social-emotional development and educational needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide mandated social work services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Implement social work services based on each student's individual IEP goals, recommendations, and service requirements.
- Provide individual and/or group social work services as specified in the student's IEP.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP-related social work goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely service documentation, session notes, progress reports, and other required records.
- Communicate and collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, administration, and other members of the student's educational team.
- Participate in IEP/CPSE meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences as requested or required.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding the student's social-emotional progress and services, as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of strategies and interventions identified through the student's IEP.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and records in accordance with FERPA, NYSED requirements, and Kidtastic Kids policies and procedures.
- Follow all applicable NYS, NYSED, OCFS, and Kidtastic Kids requirements and procedures.
- Complete all required documentation within established timelines.
- Other duties related to the provision of IEP-mandated social work services as assigned.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- Appropriate New York State Social Work licensure/certification required based on the position and services provided.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children and/or students receiving special education services preferred.
- Experience providing social work services within an IEP/CPSE setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of preschool special education and IEP-related service requirements.
- Strong documentation, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
- Professional, dependable, compassionate, and committed to supporting young children with disabilities.
Schedule
Per Diem / As Needed
Services will be scheduled based on student IEP requirements and program needs.
